In-home tech support for seniors in Alexandria, Virginia
Technology help that comes to you.
Plain English. No rushing. No selling. Patient, professional help with your phone, your computer, and everything attached to them, at your home and at your pace.
Fully insured · Locally owned · Alexandria only
What a visit is like
I come to your home. We sit down together with your phone, tablet, or computer. You set the pace.
Everything gets explained in plain English as we go. When we fix something, I show you how. You keep a large-print, step-by-step guide for every skill we cover, so the help doesn't walk out the door when I do.
If something doesn't need fixing, I'll say so. I sell no products and take no commissions. No company pays me when you follow my recommendation, and the only person it's meant to benefit is you.
How I can help
Is a phone, tablet, or computer acting up?
I set up, tune up, and untangle phones, tablets, computers, printers, TVs, and Wi-Fi. Then I teach you what I did, so the fix stays after I leave.
Worried about scams?
We build a few simple habits that stop the common scams cold, including a family code word for suspicious calls. You'll know exactly what to do when something feels off.
Passwords driving you crazy?
We set up a password safe, so you only have to remember one. Your master password stays on paper, in your home, with you.
I never keep your passwords. That is a firm rule, in writing.
Photos and email piling up everywhere?
We gather photos and files from old devices into one tidy, backed-up place. If an old email address is drowning in junk, I can move you safely to a modern one.
Want your digital life in order for your family?
We organize your accounts and write down a clear plan, one you control and your family can follow someday. You keep every key. Nothing depends on me.
Curious about AI, or a little wary of it?
I teach safe, practical ways to use new AI tools, and how to spot their tricks. Before a big appointment, I can help you organize your facts and questions.
Your doctor, lawyer, or financial advisor gives the advice. I make sure you walk in prepared.
Something else on your mind? Call and ask. If I'm not the right person for it, I'll tell you so, and point you toward someone who is.
What does it cost?
Prices are published because you shouldn't have to ask. You get a written estimate before work begins and an itemized invoice after. No surprises, no upselling.
Home visit
$125 per hour, two-hour minimum
Two full hours: enough time to solve the problem and teach it properly, without rushing.
Monthly membership
$225 per month
An hour and a half of dedicated support every month, priority scheduling, a quarterly security review, and a short update to your family after each visit if you want one.
Members pay $100 an hour for any additional work, instead of $125.

Bigger jobs like a digital declutter, digital legacy readiness, or an email transition. Quoted in writing before we start. The price I quote is the price you pay.

For adult children
Peace of mind, documented.
If you're arranging technology help for a parent in Alexandria, you're not really buying tech support. You're buying certainty about who is in your parent's living room, and proof of what happened there.
Insured, in writing
Home Tech Concierge is fully insured: general liability, professional liability (technology errors & omissions), and data breach coverage. A certificate of insurance is available on request.
Documented, every visit
Service runs under a written scope of work. Every visit produces a written report. With your parent's consent, you receive a brief update after each visit. Informed without hovering.
Boundaries you can verify
Home Tech Concierge never accepts fiduciary roles, gifts, or bequests from clients. Written policy from day one, available on request.
Home Tech Concierge never holds client passwords and never accesses financial accounts. The records are designed for a skeptical adult child's review. That is deliberate.
Independence, not dependency
Every session teaches; large-print guides stay behind; progress is tracked. The goal is a parent who needs less help over time, not more. You're not restricting your parent's world. You're funding their confidence in it.
The monthly membership ($225/month) is the peace-of-mind product: an hour and a half of scheduled support, priority scheduling, quarterly security reviews, a discounted rate on anything beyond it, and a consented update to you after each visit. You stop being the family help desk, and you stop bracing for the 10 PM panic call.

Who you'll be working with
Home Tech Concierge is Nathan Curfiss: one person, licensed and insured, serving Alexandria only.
Nathan spent years helping neighbors with their technology before making it a profession. Then he built the business the slow way: licensed, insured, and with every protection written down before the first client, not after the first problem.
He also holds a master's degree in conflict analysis and resolution from George Mason University. In a living room, that mostly means one thing: dignity outranks being right. You will not be rushed, and you will not be talked down to. Patience here is not a personality trait. It is a professional skill, delivered and priced like one.
Why only Alexandria? Because a helper who is never far away can promise to actually show up.
